As you know, for the Softride frame, we got rid of the seat post connecting your seat to the crank. One of the primary benefits of this is reducing the jolts to your spine from road bumps and pot holes. But there’s still a direct contact between your front wheel and the handle bars. So for every bump, or “surface inconsistency” to use the technical term, you feel a jolt through your shoulders and you lose a little bit of contact with the road.

The PowerStem isolates you from 95-percent of all high-frequency road shock with no change in wheel base, head angle, pedaling performance or ground clearance. The compression is so even, you almost forget its working.
