THE SOFTRIDE ACCESS ELEMENT BIKE RACK DEBUTS IN JANUARY
Patented parallelogram design & entry level price point are customer please
BELLINGHAM, WA ( October 01, 2007 ) -- Softride, the innovator of hitch mounted bike racks, is releasing the new Access Element Bike Rack in January. The entry level rack includes the patented parallelogram lift and lower design and other features not found in competing racks.
“The Access Element Bike Rack is our lightest and most compact four-bike rack ever,” says Ryan Allsop, co-president of Softride. “Our patented lift and lower parallelogram design and great retail price have generated enthusiastic interest from dealers at the fall trade shows – it’s sure to please our customers.”
Capable of handling a wide range of adult and children’s bicycles, the Access Element Bike Rack lowers out of the way, even when loaded with bikes, providing easy accessibility to the rear of the vehicle.
“Our unrivaled rack design is easier to use compared to other racks on the market,” says Allsop. “One person can safely and comfortably lower the rack parallel to the ground to load and unload bikes or gain access to their vehicle.”
The new rack includes upgraded bike rack arms with padded saddles and over-sized tie-downs. The arms have an adjustable width to accommodate more bicycle sizes and styles. Reflectors on the rack arm ends provide visibility to drivers of other vehicles. When not loaded with bikes, the rack arms fold down and out of the way.
The Access Element Bike Rack is made with rugged powder-coated steel which enables the rack to withstand the conditions outdoor enthusiasts put it through. The anti-rattle tightening hitch bolt, included with the rack, cinches the hitch bar to the side of the receiver wall eliminating sway and instability that normally occurs with other bike racks.
